About Me
William has served on the Hooksett Budget Committee since 2022, working with town council and school board to manage the budget while maintaining high quality services for our students and citizens. William consistently works with all members of the Budget Committee to accurately review and critique the town and school budgets. He works to ensure that valuable services are funded to the betterment of Hooksett citizens and students while identifying areas of improved efficiency. In his capacity as Budget Committee member, William also serves on the Hooksett Capital Improvement Planning Committee, working to identify and plan the long term spending goals of the town of Hooksett. Through this work, he has consistently advocated for efficient allocation and spending while supporting Hooksett public services, teachers and schools.
In addition to the Hooksett Budget Committee, William has served his greater community as President and Treasurer of the Manchester Makerspace, a non-profit 501c3 organization that aims to deliver quality access to shared space, tools and mentoring for the benefit of the Greater Manchester community. At Manchester Makerspace, William developed a strong sense of finance and small-business leadership. After joining the board as Treasurer in 2015, William worked to quickly acquire the non-profit’s 501c3 status and secure funding in order to keep the organization open. In 2019, William became the President and Treasurer of the Makerspace and led the business through COVID, working with Makerspace members and the state of NH to manufacture PPE for local clinics. William has handed off the reins of Manchester Makerspace after securing it as a lasting organization in downtown Manchester.
William is running for State Representative for Hooksett and Dunbarton to reduce property taxes and improve funding of public schools. During his work on the Budget Committee, it has been apparent that Concord is not serving the interests of our citizens. Representatives have passed bills that reduce state revenue, divert funds away from public schools, and further downshift costs onto the local taxpayer. We need common sense legislators in Concord working in the interests of our citizens to reduce our local taxes, not raise them. In Concord, William will work to restore state revenue streams, providing more money for town services and school districts in order to reduce the burden placed on local property taxes.
